Yellow apple leaves are a symptom with several possible causes.
Start with location and timing
Note whether old or new leaves yellow first, whether veins remain green, whether spotting is present and whether the tree is also wilting or dropping leaves.
Check the root zone
Irrigation coverage, drainage and soil moisture should be reviewed before automatically adding fertilizer.
