Follow current state and local defensible-space requirements, remove combustible debris, avoid continuous fuel pathways and maintain plants appropriately. Rules can change and site requirements may differ by jurisdiction.
No plant is fireproof
Even high-moisture or lower-flammability vegetation can burn. Plant selection should complement—not replace—spacing, maintenance and building-hardening strategies.
