There is no single correct number of days between citrus waterings. Tree size, soil texture, season, weather, slope, emitter output and root-zone depth all change the answer.
Water the root zone, not the calendar
Established citrus generally benefits from deeper irrigation followed by time for the root zone to use that moisture. Constantly wet soil can be as problematic as chronic drought.
As the tree grows
The active root zone expands beyond the trunk. Irrigation that worked for a newly planted tree may eventually cover too little area.
