Earth People professional tree and plant installation service in Orange County

A Better Option Than “Just Put It in the Ground”

Homeowners often spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on a tree or a collection of plants, then realize the nursery does not install them—or the delivery crew only offers a basic drop-off.

Earth People can step in from there. If you bought a fruit tree, ornamental tree, shrub, hedge plant, native plant, specimen plant, or other landscape material from another nursery, garden center, online seller, wholesale grower, landscape supplier, or private seller, we can professionally install it for you.

Yes — Even If You Bought It Somewhere Else

This service is specifically for people who already found the tree or plants they want but need someone who understands roots, soil, drainage, irrigation, planting depth, and establishment care to put them in correctly.

What Professional Planting Includes

Site evaluation

Sun, mature size, access, slope, hardscape, drainage, and location.

Correct planting depth

Root flare and graft union positioned correctly—not buried.

Root inspection

We check for circling, girdling, damaged, or poorly oriented roots.

Soil & drainage

We account for heavy clay, compacted soil, fill, slopes, and poor drainage.

Irrigation setup

We make sure the new root ball can actually receive water after planting.

Mulch & staking

Added when appropriate, without burying the trunk or over-supporting the tree.

We Plant More Than Fruit Trees

This service can be used for fruit trees, citrus, avocado, ornamental trees, California natives, privacy plants, shrubs, vines, edible plants, specimen plants, and other landscape material.

Small installations may be handled by hand. Larger box trees may require more planning for equipment, access, delivery, placement, and establishment irrigation.

Have a 24", 36", or 48" box tree?
Send us photos of the tree, the planting location, access from the street, and the approximate distance from unloading point to planting location. We can evaluate what equipment and crew will be needed.

Why Proper Planting Matters

A tree can look fine on installation day and still be set up for trouble if it is planted too deep, the root ball is left dry, drainage is poor, roots are circling, mulch is piled against the trunk, or the irrigation never reaches the original root ball.

Our goal is not simply to finish the hole. Our goal is to give the plant the best possible start in the specific soil and microclimate where it is going to live.

The Earth People Standard

We Plant for the Future, Not Just for Today

We love trees, plants, soil, and living landscapes. Proper planting is one of the most important things we can do because the work we do on installation day can affect that plant for years—or decades.

That is why we pay attention to the details you cannot always see from the surface: root structure, oxygen, drainage, soil conditions, irrigation, and long-term establishment.

How installation is priced

The $0 quote-request listing is a free request for pricing—not a free installation. Your written quote separates planting labor, plants (if supplied by us), materials, delivery and any additional work.

  • Plant size and quantity: container size, root-ball weight and crew needs.
  • Access: gate width, steps, slope, unloading distance and equipment access.
  • Site conditions: existing plants, roots, rock, compacted soil and drainage.
  • Additional work: pickup, delivery, removal, irrigation changes, mulch, staking and equipment are included only when specified in your quote.

Help us quote accurately

Send your phone number, property address, plant type and quantity, container sizes, photos of the plants and planting location, and the route from street to planting area. Include narrow gates, stairs and slopes.

Booking your installation

We review the site information, send a quote, and confirm the installation date after approval and any agreed payment requirements. A requested date is not reserved until confirmed.

Planting includes the work stated in your approved quote and establishment guidance. Irrigation modifications, mulch, staking, special drainage work and ongoing care are separate unless listed. Any warranty terms are provided in writing with your quote.
