Spray-to-Drip Irrigation Conversion — Orange County

Converting appropriate planting beds from overhead spray to drip can reduce overspray and place water closer to plant root zones, but conversion should be designed around the landscape rather than done blindly.

Good Candidates

Shrub beds, fruit-tree areas, selected native and water-wise plantings, narrow beds and areas where spray creates persistent overspray or runoff may benefit from properly designed drip.

Pressure regulation, filtration, tubing layout, emitter type and flow, plant spacing, soil, slope, root-zone size and future plant growth.
