Populus trichocarpa
Large deciduous riparian native with fast growth and substantial water and space needs; suitable only for generous, adequately moist sites.
Site selection
Plant performance depends on exposure, drainage, microclimate and irrigation. Not all California natives are low-water plants; request guidance before ordering for hot inland properties.
