Build a Better Root Zone

Add site-appropriate upgrades to an Earth People tree or plant installation. These services are designed to support establishment without turning planting into a one-size-fits-all amendment recipe.

Available upgrades

Organic Mulch Ring — $95/tree: Organic mulch installed around the new root zone and kept clear of the trunk/root flare.

Living Soil Starter — $125/tree: Worm castings plus site-appropriate organic soil-health inputs/topdress. We use inputs according to the plant and site rather than automatically over-amending the planting hole.

Mycorrhizal Inoculation — $45/tree: Applied when appropriate for the plant, soil and installation.

Existing Irrigation Tree Hookup — $175/tree: Modify or extend a suitable nearby irrigation line and establish appropriate watering at the new tree. New valves, long runs, major repairs, trenching through hardscape or complex systems are quoted separately.

Staking / Support — $95/tree: Proper support when the tree or site requires it. We avoid unnecessary staking.

30/60/90-Day Establishment Care — $299/tree: Follow-up establishment checks focused on root-zone moisture, irrigation performance, mulch, visible stress and seasonal adjustments. Corrective work or materials beyond the inspection/adjustment scope are quoted separately.

For the strongest start, pair your tree with professional planting, appropriate irrigation, mulch/root-zone care and establishment follow-up. Recommendations vary by species—especially California natives and avocados—because successful organic planting is about using the right treatment for the site, not simply adding more products.
