Santa Rosa Weeping Japanese Plum

Santa Rosa Weeping Japanese Plum

An ornamental weeping plum form combining seasonal blossom interest with edible fruit.

Growing in Laguna Beach and South Orange County

Prune cautiously to preserve the graceful architecture and growing fruiting wood. Select a sunny location with well-drained soil. Establish with deep watering, mulch and appropriate organic plant care. Heat, marine-layer effects and winter chill differ widely among nearby neighborhoods.

Pollination and harvest

Pollination needs depend on the exact graft and cultivar; confirm with nursery. Tree age, mature dimensions and fruiting status depend on the actual nursery specimen. Dormant deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Professional installation

Earth People Landcare can help with soil preparation, irrigation, pruning and ongoing orchard care.
