Takes The Cake Rabbiteye Blueberry

Takes The Cake Rabbiteye Blueberry

A rabbiteye-type blueberry offered for productive berry gardens.

Growing in South Orange County

Usually better in warmer summer areas if winter chill and cross-pollination needs are satisfied. Blueberries need acidic media, typically pH 4.5–5.5, steady moisture, mulch and excellent drainage. A container or dedicated bed may be easier to maintain than native alkaline soils.

Pollination, chilling and care

Pollination needs vary by cultivar. Some are self-fruitful, while compatible bloom partners may improve crops; rabbiteye varieties generally benefit strongly from cross-pollination. Check chilling and microclimate suitability before purchase.

Reservation and installation

Choose the offered pot size, then reserve. We confirm current nursery availability, approximate height and condition before payment. Delivery, installation, irrigation and acidic media are additional.
