A Southern highbush blueberry appreciated for attractive blossoms and sweet fruit. A promising choice in suitable low-chill Southern California gardens where acidic root conditions can be maintained.
Growing in South Orange County
Grow in acidic, well-drained blueberry media with consistent moisture and mulch. Containers are often easier to manage than naturally alkaline ground soil. Give morning sun and afternoon protection in especially hot locations.
Pollination
Misty is generally self-fruitful, but compatible Southern highbush blueberries with overlapping bloom can improve fruiting. Actual harvests depend on climate and plant maturity.
